Camping

Camping is also available in Fanning Springs. The Suwannee River Hideaway Campground is one fantastic camping ground if you enjoy camping. This can be found on the Highway in Old Town. This camp ground comes with a boardwalk that will take you through the wetlands and end up at the river. It is also an ideal spot for biking, fishing, biking and bird watching.

There are many tent camping spots available, as well as a free wireless hot spot that can be found within  office and clubhouse.

As we have seen, Fanning Springs sits along the Suwannee River in Florida. Visitors can get there by boat, or by car. The springs make a fantastic place for swimming. The temperature remains at seventy two degrees throughout the whole year. Other activities include: Wildlife viewing, nature and hiking trails, boating and much more. If you don’t like camping there are plenty of other accommodation options within the township.
